March Prayer Letter

 Introducing the China Institute Website

March 2024

“Whatever you do, do all to the glory of God” (1 Corinthians 10:31).

Dear Praying Friends:

Though the Chinese government tries hard to keep its people from gaining access to material on foreign websites, many are able to get a VPN (Virtual Private Network) that allows them to read the contents of our three websites. And almost fifty million ethnic Chinese live outside of China, nearly ten million of them in North America. Today, let me introduce to you one of our sites: www.reachingchineseworldwide.org, the China Institute site.

If you go to the home page, scroll down and you will see “Recent Blog Posts.” These consist of brief devotional messages from the weekly prayer update that I send out to prayer partners by email. Remarks from readers frequently tell me that they find these short meditations very helpful. You can also find numerous book summaries, with evaluations, here.

The “About Us” section introduces the history of China Institute, our vision, team, and how to contact us, here.

Newsletter contains the full texts of our almost-monthly prayer letters over the past twenty years. These theme-based posts trace the arc of our ministry, explain our basic principles, and outline what I think are the most effective ways of communicating Christ to Chinese people.

Books lists the titles and gives brief descriptions of twenty books by me. Eight of these are available as printed volumes from Amazon.com and similar bookstores.

The others are available as free, downloadable PDFs. All of them are “works in progress.” I add to them periodically, hoping to complete them in coming years.

Finally, the “Give” page offers several ways for you to donate to our ministry, here.

On almost every page, you will find arresting images curated by our capable editorial assistants.

May I strongly recommend that you take ten minutes just to browse the contents of this website? It has been growing for twenty years and contains several thousand pages of resources, not just for people interested in God’s work among the Chinese, but for all Christians who want to grow in their faith.

Thank you!

Together with you seeking his greater glory,

Wright
