“Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, but to Your name give glory, because of your mercy [steadfast love, chesed], because of Your truth [faithfulness, emeth]. Why should the Gentiles say, ‘So where is their God?’” (Psalm 115:1-2).
“Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful unto Him, and bless His name. For the LORD is good; His mercy [steadfast love] is everlasting, and His truth [faithfulness] endures to all generations” (Psalm 100:4-5).
“For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD will give grace and glory; no good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly” (Psalm 84:11).
“Reproach has broken my heart, and I am full of heaviness [sickness]; I looked for someone to take pity, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none” (Psalm 69:20).
