“Show me Your ways, O LORD; teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; on You I wait all the day” (Psalm 25:4-5). 

“Turn Yourself to me, and have mercy on me, for I am desolate [lonely] and afflicted. The troubles of my heart are enlarged; bring me out of my distresses! Look on my affliction and my pain and forgive all my sins. Consider my enemies, for they are many, and they hate me with cruel hatred” (Psalm 25:16-19). 

“Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy [lovingkindness, steadfast love] endures forever” (Psalm 107:1). 

“Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I keep Your word. You are good, and do good; teach me Your statutes. . . It is good for me that I have been afflicted, that I may learn Your statutes” (Psalm 119:67-68, 71). 

“Seek the LORD and His strength; seek His face evermore!” (Psalm 105:4). 

“My praise shall continually be of You . . . Let my mouth be filled with Your praise and with Your glory all day. . . I will praise You yet more and more. My mouth shall tell of Your righteousness and Your salvation all the day . . . I will make mention of Your righteousness, Yours only . . . To this day I declare Your wondrous works . . . “ (Psalm 71:6, 8, 14-16; see also 24).  

“I will cry out to God Most High, to God who performs [all things] for me. He shall send from heaven and save me . . . God shall send forth His mercy [steadfast love] and His truth [faithfulness]” (Psalm 57:2-3).
